Going Nuclear

Spin Cycle May 5th 2008

Thomas Edsall of the Huntington Post has lined out the potential route for Clinton to get the nomination, calling it the Nuclear Option because of all the damage it might leave behind. Basicly it involve Clinton strong-arming her backers who constitute a majority on the Rules and Bylaws committee, to do a 180 and change the rules on Michigain and Florida. And then get Howard Dean to fill out the Credentials Committee with folks who will go along with it. To which the Clinton Camp says...sounds fine to us! I then turn to the so-called electability issue that is behind this and wonder...we may have seen a preview of Obama/McCain thanks to Hillary Clinton, but have we really seen a preview of Clinton/McCain?
